Draft at brewpub. Poured cloudy yellow color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate banana, clove and citrus aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium sweet flavor with a solid sweet wheat finish of moderate duration. Good refreshing brew.

A hazy orangey blonde with a thin white head. In aroma, a nice pungeant weizen with loads of cloves, solvent, banana cake. In mouth, a sweet weizen with cherry notes, banana esters, rather intense yet quaffable. On tap at brewpub, May 18 2009.

Tap at piece. This was really enjoyable. One of the best I had at piece. Cloudy gold color wtih a white head. Yeast, bananas, bubble gum, bread and spices lead to a really enjoyable beer. Mouthfeel is very nice and flavor is very nice indeed. Wheat, banana, honey and just a nice hint of hops. Session time!

Draft... DLD06... Murky, golden ale with a large, creamy, white head. Good retention. Yeasty, citrusy nose with lots of clove and lemon peel. Some bubble gum. Citrusy, doughy, spicy flavor. Very tart and lemony. Light to medium-bodied and lightly creamy with lively carbonation. Finishes tangy, spicy and refreshing.

Tap @ Piece in Chicago with TheAlum. Pours a nice, cloudy yellow appearance with a white head. Somewhat spicy, light banana, a bit yeasty, light veggie aroma. There’s some more veggie notes in the flavor along with some wheat, light citrus, and bread. I had this a couple of years back at GABF and didn’t remember it having any veggie notes but this time it was hard to ignore. Would like to try again in the future.

draft. cloudy orange. wonderfully dry, tart, pungent and prickly yeast presence. dried fruit esters (lemon peel, dried peach, mango, banana, orange) abound. dry, parched finish is minerally and chalky. perhaps a bit too astringent and over-hopped but otherwise very delicious with lively carbonation, firm but light texture and pleasant ester play.
