Had this one on tap @ Piece.... an excellent DIPA overall.... not too sweet, not too bitter and this relatively high ABV is masked very well by the other flavors involved. Definitely worth trying if you’re in town when they’ve got it on draft. Very very tasty!

Aroma pretty much a blower right out of a hop bag, overpowering the malting , seemed to get better after every sniff, flavor while still extremely resiony /citrus hops had more caramel evident then you would have expected from the aroma, heavy hopping caused an abrupt drying in the finish. Doesnt have that purly powerful gunner hop aroma of say a Three Floyds, but truly one of the best non-bottled Imp Ipas I’ve had

Piece seems to have about a dozen IIPAs but they do a good job on all of them so no complaints. Hazy orange color. Filled to the brim so no head but it does leave a good bit of lacing on the side of the glass. Tremendous hoppy nose. My guess is loads of amarillo. There’s lots of sweet orange and a slight floral overtone. Slightly fruity sweet but balanced by a firm earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, esp. for a higher gravity beer, w/ vigorous carbonation to help dry things out a bit. Another nice, fruity hop-accented beer from Piece. They get more attention for their wheats but they do these as well as anyone.

This beer had character. Juicy throughout. Tons of sweet fruit but it wasnt sweet. Nice malts. The carmeliness hits you then the burst of hop love. Finishes slightly dry. Solid brew.

on tap at piece (12/4/09).... pours a medium orange caramel brown with a thin soapy/frothy white head. as it turns out, it is lighter in comparison to camel toe... aroma of bright tropical fruits, again similar to camel toe, with a sweet malt backbone... flavors of tropical hops, mainly mango and pineapple-like, with a mild citrus rind bitter finish. middle is predominantly filled with sweeter tones. as usual, piece create another well-balanced dipa. decent body with medium carbonation. when had side by side to camel toe, wack job was just slightly less bitter overall. i hold them both pretty high in regards with a slight edge to CT but this one is pretty damn good.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours amber with a white head. Big citrus/fruit aroma. Med body/sharpish carbonation. Flavor is citrus/floral/resin? Not sure about the resin. Lots and lots of hop. Malt is pleasantly submerged.
