Highly drinkable and balanced IIPA. Pours a deep brownish orange and is hazy almost chewy looking. Caramel and toasty overtones balance this beer's bitterness and hop profile. One of hte better I2PA's IMHO.

Very tasty hop monster. I wouldnt have guessed it was so high alcohol if it didnt say on board. Its all citrusy hops, not much sweetness or roastedness. Not the best with food, but for sipping it was perfect. They even do a pretty healthy pour which is nice.

Draft, at Piece. Fascinating brew. The waitress said it wasn't made to any style, I'd call it either a very malty IPA or a very hoppy wee heavy. A fine white well-behave head that leaves a little lace. Dark, cloudy brown body. Very bitter hop nose and nut brown malts, even a hint of peach brandy. It's one of those that tastes like it's been barrel aged, but really isn't.

A very enjoyable concoction--relatively sweet, with toffee & caramel notes. Well-balanced hop bitterness, and a wonderful flowery aroma and flavor.

Very mango and grapefruit aroma though a little muted. Aroma and flavor quite similar to Dreadnaught. Very well balanced though a little heavy. A rich and syrupy beer. The bartender called it and imperial IPA. Excellent. Packs a punch, too.

[Draft at the brewpub] Poured a lightly hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, floral hops, citrus fruits, caramel malt, and toast. Taste of pine, tobacco, citrus, caramel, bitter grapefruit, and some alcohol in the finish.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2007 if this beer is the same way next time, iíll rerate it perfect across the board. very very much like the Dreadnaught. absolutely delicious. smells like mangoes, has that citrusy, super-hoppy taste. rerate: this isnít that good. the aroma is still perfect, but it doesnít taste so great. itís a pretty standard hoppy piece beer.

Pour is clear golden amber with a thin white head...smell is deliciously toasty at first with a nice resin note...taste is lightly toasty with a great chewy mouthfeel...a nice light resiny bitterness in the finish...really good...

Amazing. Darker pour and good head from the tap. Very hoppy and strong but fruity and citrus notes give this an awesome smooth taste ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
