Ruby pour and cloudy. Thin head with a little lace. Aroma is roasty. Taste is full of bread and toast. Some light fruit notes. Very easy to drink, but kind of watery.

On tap at the brewery bar, and dispensed to a nonic pint glass, showing a clear, brownish amber color, with a modest layer of diminishing, soft white head foam, and some ribbony cling to the lacing. The nose was smooth, lightly toasted malt aroma, with a hint of caramel, and soft fruitiness. Light to medium bodied, with good carbonation, the flavor added low, earthy hop bitterness, and malt presence that tilted the balance in it’s favor. A decently sessionable brew.

7/27/2010: Piece Worriyn’ Ale... Aroma: Toasted malts and bread brust. Appearance: Amber-colored; chill haze; whispy off-white crown. Flavor: Malty syrup/hard candy; earthy, floral bitterness in the finish; seems a bit weak and thin. Palate: Medium to medium-full body; but feels soft, yet big. Confusin, I know... Overall: Just okay.

Draught (5% ABV) at Piece in Chicago. Rating #85 for this beer.

ON draft at brewpub, poured a murky brown color, aromas of light toast, bread, earth, and some malt. Flavors are the same, light hops on the back end, ok beer overall.

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bread and grain with a hint of earthy hops. Flavor has notes of grain and bread with a bit of backing earthy hops.

Poured on tap at piece into a pint glass. Pours a nice dark brown color Good malty aromas of caramel and toffee. lacking some depth and complexity in the aromas medium bodied with a good feel and flavors of caramel, toffee and some malt flavors This was a very drinkable beer, but lacking some real complexity and depth to it. A bit singular in both the aromas and flavors, but a good beer nonetheless

POurs dark amber with a light head. Notes of toffee and roasted malts show on the nose and deeper and more complex within the palate. The roasted grains really drive a fun nuance of rye and bread that come over and offer a smooth finish.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a moderate amber copper color with a light head and some lacing. The nose is light citrus and spice with a bit of caramel. Taste is similar with slight hops and rye. A good bit of spice with a light caramel and fruit backbone. Good feel and drinks quite well; a nice rye beer. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 11-02-2010
