RedstickBrewer (1), Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA does not count May 19, 2008 I’ve drank a multitude of pale ales and IPA’s. This could easily be taken as an IPA. It tastes better than any IPA I’ve had or American Pale Ale. The resiny hop character did not overwhelm the malt base and they worked perfect together. Keep brewing this beer. msears (10), chicago, Illinois, USA May 24, 2008 Whoa whoa whoa! One of the best hoppy ales I have had in quite some time. Very spicy, hoppy and full of great flavors like cinnamon. I can drink this by the growler and relish every drop. If you stop in Piece make sure you pick this bad boy up!
hombrepalo (457), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 17, 2007 tap, This was a really good pick! Nice hoppy citrus aroma and taste, just the way I like them. Perfect carbonation. The aftertaste was of cirtus and pines. Smooth and tasty. One of pieces best creations. Highly recommend this beer to pale ale lovers.
Walt (2268), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 4, 2008 Pour is opaque warm amber with a thin sticky off white head...smell is super grapefruity with lots of soapy pine resin notes...taste is slightly caramel and toasty at first, with a strong piney citric bitterness coming in...nice full mouthfeel and lingering bitterness in the finish...another solid hop bomb from Piece during the hop shortage...fuck it, throw another couple of pounds in...goo job guys! stoutchap (293), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 4, 2008 Another great beer from Piece! Hazy amber pur with a thinyellow head. Citrus notes in the nose. A great balance of citrusy hops and caramel malts. Wish you could get this in bottles.
