3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Leighton (3595) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 7, 2012
Bottle on the train from DHL to Brussels. Thanks to Louis for mistakenly picking up this beauty. We drank straight from the bottle, so I can only assume this beer pours clear, pale yellow with a lightly foamy, white head. It had a light aroma of dough and sugar, two character traits echoed in the flavor. I can’t say this beer was actually offensive. Bland, sure, but it didn’t taste bad. In fact, it had more flavor than I can remember most low ABV beers having. Although, the Belgian man sitting next to our group informed us, after observing us to the point where he could no longer hold it in, that this is cooking beer, table beer, and that we really shouldn’t drink it. Ah, well. That’s Louis for you!

Bottle:
What to say about these beers, it’s a low alcohol table beer.
It’s nice when you’re young and want to taste a beer you don’t get too drunk from easily.
Quick disappearing airy white head on top of a clear darker yellow golden colored beer.
Taste is light, faint, dull and watery. Some hops, herbs, malts and light sweet grainy…
Nice to taste/try once guess that’s it.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 Benzai (2298) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - SEP 6, 2011
Bottle @ home. Clear medium to dark golden color, fast disappearing white head. Smell malts, grains and bitter. Taste malts and bitter as well. Very nice refreshing beer to drink when having dinner. Pretty firm carbonation, thin texture, low body.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 jaghana (1803) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - AUG 26, 2011
Bottle 75cl, a clear golden beer with medium head. Nose is strange on fermented liquid. Aroma is poor, very watery, no aroma, no sweetness, just a dusty bitterness, near to low alcohol beers, very boring.
1.4 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 Kristall-König (1552) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - JUN 14, 2011
Geruch leicht, aber auch nur leicht getreidig. Vornehmlich irgendwie nach Käsemauken stinkend.
Geschmacklich von wässrigem Charakter und lasch. Die Herbe tendiert hier gegen Null. Die Süffigkeit dieses Machwerkes ist enorm. Dennoch sollte man lieber zum Mineralwasser greifen.

Very little head, boring gold body. Aroma of wet bread that has been held in someone’s armpits for a few days while they didn’t shower. Taste is an odd mix of nothing and just a tiny hint of straw. Mouthfeel is watery and weak. After being quite surprised by the Brown, this blonde is absolutely horrid.
