Pours brown with orange reflects, almost no head. Nose is caramel. In mouth it’s terrible : flat carbonation, a lot of sugar, aromas of caramel and herbs. It reminds me of a bad soda. Tastes as bad as the label looks.

Brown with only a small head. Smell of a brezel!!! (all my frieds who drank the 75cl bottle with me agreed on that). Tastes much to sweet with almost no head and a thin body. maybe some notes of licorice.

75 cl. bottle @ home, bought somewhere in Belgium. Dark brown with a thin beige head. Sweet caramel aroma. Sticky sweet taste with no aftertaste. Watery and boring.

30.08.2013. Brussel. Black colour with tan head. Aroma is sweet malty with notes of coca cola. Rather thin body. Nice flavours of malt. Low on bitterness. Very sweet with brown sugar. I think this beer would be great with Captain Morgan!

Bottle at the Begijnhof. Faint, medicinal and candy nose, caramel, something like tar, paper, rubber. Dark bown with orange tints and lots of carbonation at first but no lasting head. Looks like a cola. Sweet malts, caramel, biscuits, and beer! Lightly hopped, with a bit of hay and the slightest bitterness. Slightly fruity. Dark bread. It’s totally drinkable. I wish my Dad have given it to me as a kid.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Delhaize. BBF 07/2014. Pours slightly red wood brown with a coca-cola (meaning disappears in the same way & very quickly + same colour). Smell is sweet, chestnuts, brown sugar, light molasses & slightly watery. Taste is sweet, coco-cola, brown sugar, children’s cough syrup, watery chocolate sauce, light molasses, very soft drink like. Bit light bodied, fizzing carb. This is basically a soft drink for kids as such it is not that bad and its sweetness is a mix between coco-cola & low end Belgian dark beers. I don’t particularly enjoy it but it is actually good for what it is supposed to be.
