Sweet, maple syrup thin. Wow just not that great. How did they get this stuff in Arizona? No hops, to sweet... DONT GET THIS
1.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 wingman333 (333) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - JAN 15, 2011
Nothing redeemable here. Watery, sour excuse for a porter. No flavor you would find in a traditional porter (roast, coffee, chocolate). I drank half of it and poured the rest out.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 KAggie97 (3170) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - JAN 2, 2011
Bottle from the 1967 Packers. Thanks Pack, thanks! Pours an average root beer brown with a lively body and thin cream head. Aroma is raisin-wine malt, sweet vinegar, watery molasses, and earthy nuts. Flavor is light, watery nuts and caramel swirled and then roasted over artificial flame. Tingly on the tongue. Forgettable.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 rougeau13 (1067) - Texas, USA - DEC 15, 2010
Very dark brown with almost no head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is pretty one dimensional: roasted malt. A little harsh, and a tad thin for the style. Not impressive.

Almost black color. Thin off-white head. Dark roasted malt aroma and flavor. heavy bite for a porter. Nice hoppage. Smooth texture. Sweet sugary finish like a milk stout but with brown instead of white sugar.

Deep cola color with a small off white head. No lacing. The aroma is mostly nuts, candied sugar, some roast, and brown sugar. The flavor is similar, but not very strong. Pretty sweet tasting overall, with a light body and rough carbonation. Not so great.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 hellbilly (2857) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - JUL 8, 2010
sampled 3/3/10.
this is the lightest, palest porter i have ever seen. it looks more like a ruby/auburn brown ale with a very short lived head.
i get a lot of metal on the nose which doesn’t want to go away... in the mix are notes of some sort of fruit, brown sugar, candied nuts and a touch of molasses.
the flavor is quite the same... a dry spicy hopped finish and no depth or dimension. it has an acidic sharpness to it which i can’t exactly identify and certainly don’t think is pleasant.
it is very light bodied with prickly aggressive carbonation. very bleh. 4/2/4/2/10/2.2
