Medium body and a sweet sour finish. rauchbier (2870), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Jul 2, 2005 Bottle, ZBF 2005. Gold, thin white head and moderate condition. Faintly phenolic in the nose, low sweet malt and some more phenols in the mouth and a grainy finish with hints of plastic
MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany Mar 19, 2005 Hint of fruit/citrus in aroma. Unclear golden colour. Moldy, citrusy flavour. Engelsmann (653), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 9, 2005 ZBF 2005. Pours a cloudy dark golden, with a white head. Aroma is picy, and very yeasty. Taste is sweet malty, and spicy. A long spicy aftertaste JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Mar 6, 2005 Peach coloured beer; good, lasting and very white head. Glue, spicey and vegetable nose. Oppressive vegetable taste - like chewing on raw scorzanera or something similar; garden herbs; not necessarily comestible ones. And there’s a lot of cookie malt beneath, giving more volume than to be expected from a 6% beer. Appropriately not heavy, but I hate the aggressive initial taste & MF. Not my favourite. I wonder if it’s the brewers, as this is a commissioned beer for some puppeteer (litteral!) with big plans.
