Quake1028 (627), Tampa, Florida, USA May 20, 2007 Huge thanks to boboski for sharing this one with all of us at the Orlando gathering.
Pours a cloudy, golden body with a light head. Aromas of sour fruits, acidic notes, yeast, spices. Flavor is candied sugars, yeast, spice and soem sour notes. Soft carbonation, dry palate. Finish is abrupt and rather bland. Doesn’t leave you wanting the next sip.
pantanap (749), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 14, 2008 750ml bottle via a recent trade.....pours a hazy apricot brown with a thin to medium soapy white head.....sweet citrusy esthers and sweet candy/sugary malt make up most of the nose. added hints....the sweetness was furthermore heightened in the flavor as the candied malt dominated all others. medium carbonation, lively mouthfeel with a pretty clean, dry finish. DocLock (4102), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA May 2, 2008 Many thanks to one of my anonymous beer benefactors, whom I cannot name lest they be inundated with reqeusts from others.
Pour: Well, for starters, I look at Pierre and think, "My God, he looks like the killer from the Phantasm movies". The beer is clear medium gold with a big fluffy head.
Nose: Candi sugary malt, mild hopcitrus, some spicy yeast.
Taste: Rather watery palate, with the candi sugary malt, yeast, hopcitrus, and honey-dipped apricot taking center stage.
Overalll: I love Pierre, but this one, especially at the price, was nothing outstanding. Bring me one of those steel balls so I can throw it at his head, please. willblake (1932), Long Branch, New Jersey, USA Apr 26, 2008 20061209 Party at Capt Lawrence. 750ml. Pale golden color with tall sticky white head. Aromas are fruity, betray the style, belgian spiciness and vinyl that dissipates. Medium to full body with lots of eff. Finishes spicy and dry with persistent eff. Pretty standard tripel. marcus (988), Sacramento, California, USA Feb 15, 2008 This deep gold ale poured with a fluffy beige head and a yeasty aroma. The flavor is fruity with a long peppery finish and a yeast aftertaste. There are notes of candy sugar and spices throughout. beerking99 (199), USA Jan 5, 2008 Bottle from 2006, aged in our basement since. Dark gold color with a huge, dense white head that lingers well. Aroma is candi sugar, with hints of citrus peel and some slight pepper notes. Flavor is extremely smooth. Sweet, fruity but mildly so, with some faint white pepper in the finish. Body seems to have thinned a little with age, but still nice.
