Draught at TND: Aroma of malt, slight caramel, and a hint of honey, and a hint of fruit. Poured apple-juice in color with a small, creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of malt, slight chestnut, Lager yeast, grain, light caramel, and a hint of marzipan. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, malt, light caramel, slight lager yeast finish is lightly dry.

Sweet malty aroma, with some nut influence. An initial lager flavour is finished with quite a sharp finish.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 2B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: medium-low malty grainy aroma. clean lager profile. APPEARANCE: light amber color and translucent. medium-low light ivory, moussy head, with good retention. TASTE: moderate malty flavor with slight toasty bready notes. medium bitterness with a dry finish and slightly bitter. clean lager profile. PALATE: medium-low body and slightly creamy. moderate carbonation. OVERALL: an interesting amber lager made with chestnut flour.

Bottled @ Ma Champagne. Clear amber, frothy white head, good lacing. Faint caramel aroma. Mid-sweet, soft mouthfeel. Grainy taste with sweet caramel, dough and syrup.
