[Bottle] Pours a light amber color with very little white head. Sweet caramel and grains in the aroma. Caramel, light brown sugar, sweet malts and light hazelnut flavor. Body is medium-light and fine carbonation throughout. This beer is a little sweet for my tastes. Pretty much a standard amber ale without many surprises.

This tasty brew poured a beautiful copper color. Aroma had a nice balance of malts and hops. Flavor was mostly malty but had enough hops to be interesting... another balanced brew... the way I like ’em.

Pours a cloudy red-orange with a modest yellowish head. Initial nose is hops with clear, sweet malt under it. I never know what to expect when I get something called an amber, and, for some reason most of these beers seem to have a nasty coarse bite to the palate. Not this one. This one has a distinct malt flavor with a clear chocolate flavor running through-out. There is a slight metallic taste in the finish, but nothing that I would have noticed if I wasn’t working at it. I like this beer just fine and am wondering why it is getting kicked around so much in the ratings. I’d buy it again.

Light amber red-orange, off white sticky head with spotty lacing. A mustiness in the aroma that is similar to all the other Pete’s Place beers, some caramel, toast, light spicy herbal hops. Taste is sweet, apples, caramel, some rubberyness.

Orange/amber color with a small head of off-white bubbles. Aromas of pale malt and orange blossoms. Dry toasted malt with a bit of corn silage in the flavors. The ambers are not friendly tonight. Somewhat earthy and a bit of tartness.

Bottled. Poured lighter amber with a well-retained cap of beige head. The aroma picked up very sweet caramel and nutty notes with light floral, honey, and chocolatey accents.. almost soda-like. The flavor was sweet as well with nutty notes leading.. tartness surrounded, but I couldn’t place it.. again some chocolate and honey.. finished quick, but tacky. Lighter-bodied with rather high carbonation on the palate.. grainy, especially as it warmed up.. not a whole lot of goodness here, but it was non-offensive.

12 oz bottle via trade with Soonah, thanks John. Despite coming packaged snug and secure this bottle leaked out about an ounce or two so I drank it as soon as it was chilled. The bottle opened with lots of fizziness and poured with decent head so I don’t think the leaking effected it much at all. Aroma was really fruity with underlying chocolate notes. Body was thin with light bubbly carbonation. Flavor was lots ofchocolate with light citrus and cereal grain, perhaps some nutts as well. Interesting but seemed more like a pale ale to me.

Amber with an active a quickly dissolving off-white head. Minimal haze and average looking. Aroma of artificial caramel, mild grains and light herbal hops. Taste of heavy caramel and malt, nuts along with a cola-like feel and finish. Just a hair of bitterness and a fizzy mouth feel on this one.
