UPDATED: MAY 26, 2015 From a bomber, pours a nice hazy orange with a foamy white head. Faint grapefruit aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet with a bit bitter finish. I was expecting more considering this is about 100 ibuís. Pretty nice beer, Iíll try it again.

Enjoyed on tap at Ballpark Brewfest in Schaumburg, IL. I didnít take tasting notes for this one, but remember this being a nice IPA with a large hop profile that was rather complex. I think Iím going to seek this one out again to try it out.

On tap at the brewery. Pours golden orange with an off white head. Aroma is of hops, tropical fruit, and citrus. Taste is of juicy hops, citrus, and tropical fruit. Lingering bubblegum flavor. Very light, but not watery. You can definitely taste the booze. Easy to drink, and tasty without being too bitter.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2015 On tap at Johnís Restaurant & Tavern in Winfield, IL. as a 12 oz. serving dispensed to tall stemware, showing a clear, deep golden color, with a frothy layer of off white/light tan head foam, and draping, doily-like lacing. The aroma began with malt sweetness, light dankness, a bit of resin, and expressive esters with tropical, and citrus notes as grapefruit & orange. The taste was similar, adding some sweet grain, and moderate, earth & rind bitterness that lingered. Medium bodied, with a touch of watery texture, but otherwise, a tasty offering.

Bomber pours a cloudy orange/gold with large, lasting white head and good lacing. Aroma is full of orange, mango, honeydew melon and grapefruit with some light spices. Taste is bitter but not an assault on the senses which made me pucker up, as they advertise. Thankfully, not to dank either. Not much malty sweetness here, but has an aftertaste of cloves. Body is medium with lively carbonation and a slightly oily mouthfeel. An above average, not scary IPA worth trying, despite the label artwork and deScription.

22 oz bomber. Bitter citrusy hop profile. Almost like a bitter orange juice. Over somewhat impressive. Above average. I really donít like the fact that itís a bomber though. There area quite a few beers just as good in a 6 pack for the same price. I understand some of the more expensive to make imperials, but this isnít the trend I want single IPAs to go toward.

The label claims 100 IBUs for this brew. I havenít popped the cap yet, but I applaud the brewerís thinking. Itís got a nice pour, a golden yellow body topped by a tall pillowy head that slowly collapses around the edges. The aroma is hops - grapefruit, mango, and zest. The malt appears as cereal in the taste, soon supplanted by hop flavors. The bitterness, pretty strong (100 IBUs?), hops in in the middle and builds and lingers long into the dry finish. Nice.
