On draught at the Pigeon River brewery’s tap room just outside of Marion, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale yellow colored brew with a fast dissipating off-white head that leaves behind some minimal lacing and a thin white ring. Aroma of noble grassy hops. some golden grain malts and a touch of bread yeast. Taste is light to medium bodied, average carbonation with flavors of distinct tettnang hops, some golden grain malt and a touch of grassy hops. Finish has a quick sharp bitterness, then a lingering mild citrus aftertaste. A touch hopper than most other kölsches I’ve tried. Best described as an Americanized Kölsch.
