COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Check out our website at http://www.pigseyebeer.com/Main.htm Pig’s Eye Pilsner is the flagship brand of the award-winning Pig’s Eye Family of brands. Pig’s Eye Pilsner is contract brewed by Stevens Point Brewing (and possibly City Brewing) with 6-row robust barley malt and a combination of Cluster, Cascade and Fuggle hops, to achieve a balance between bitterness, aroma and malt sweetness. Enjoy!

(can 10/25/10). Clear straw color. Small white head. Light pilsner malt aroma with light sweetness. Light sweet malt/sugar flavor, with light pils malt. Short duration. Light dry finish. Slick texture. Soft carbonation. Spare lacing.

If you gave this beer to me while I had a blindfold on and told me it was a pils I would call you a liar. Since when is dishsoap a prominent pils flavor?

I love the micros that come in cans. Thanks to cheapdark, I tried this one again!!! My last one was about 20 plus years ago. When micros first started getting popular in the Pittsburgh area, this was one of the first brews that got “hot” fast, but then faded out. Now, I remember why. I remember people enjoying this beer, I think again because the micro industry was new, and long before many really good beers and breweries popped up. The name alone was worth the taste.

Yea, so what, I couldn’t wait to try this brew, come on, pigs eye, yea. Let me say first off this brew is much more than the 4.5% listed here. This is much more high gravity and it tastes like it. Not a pilsner by any stretch of the imagination. Sweet rude awakening for an olfactory. First taste? Revolting at first then it grows on you like a city brewing kind of way. Almost gag but not quite there. Melanie all the way way across the continuum of pale lagers like brew city, camo, evil eye, milwaukee classic ice, pennsylvania style ice, jaguar, I think you got it now; just mix those all together and you got this. I’ll give 0.1 extra points for the name and label, best thing going for it.

Pour from a 12 oz can. Clear golden yellow lager with a white head, big bubble of carbonation. Aroma of corn, adjunct, a little grass. Flavor is light, a little sweet grain and a kiss of hops in the finish. Now and then I get a slight vegetal whiff, but it does not seem to be consistent. Overall, not bad considering the price but then, nothing to write home about.

Can. This awful. Acetaldehyde is strong and beer is sweet and doughy. Strong and cloying yeast note. Alcohol taste is too apparent. How does a beer this bad get past qa?

This beef was malty with a dough bread Flavor and no hop balance. Not a good beer but I had never had it.

can thanks to my loving brother swalden28, whom i think is starting to hate me. poured a clear yellow with a fast fading white head. aroma was pilsner malt, fruity citrus, and corn. flavor was some nasty ol sweet corn juice that was poured straight from the can. not good at all.
