1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 kreepindeth (405) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - FEB 7, 2007
This is a pilsner? I thought this was a pale lager when drinking it. Lacks the hop bite common in pilsners. Taste is slightly sweet with some burning metallic notes in the finish.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 frankenkitty (1953) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - FEB 5, 2007
Dark golden, mostly dead with a short-lived, fizzy, white head. Dry and corny aromas give way to pale malts/DME reminding me of weak Ovaltine. A whiff of herbal hops is light on the back end. Diesel fuel notes as it warms. (Don’t let it warm.) Bittersweet flavor leans towards sweetness and rings of a watered down malt liquor. A twang of sour, vegetal hops (?) in the finish.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 detroiter (958) - Euphoria, Minnesota, USA - JAN 27, 2007
Yellowish color, not exactly golden. Not even a quarter inch of head. Mild olive-like aroma.
Not quite medium body, a little bit of generic sweetness, not quite offset by not quite discernable hops. A little bit of a metallic aftertaste.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Cornfield (5240) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JAN 26, 2007
Perhaps in a pig’s eye this is a Pilsener, but not to me. Why? Because there’s no discernable hop bitterness in the aroma or flavor, and that’s what makes a Pils a Pils. It pours a deep yellow body filled with lazily moving bubbles. The dincus head vanishes almost immediately. The aroma is a light malt with sweet corn syrup and apples. Same with the flavor, although the apples turn a little green. Oddly, tho’, it’s not completely repugnant.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 DJC (238) - USA - DEC 24, 2006
Golden body, with a quickly-diminishing head. Hardly a lace. Corn, malt, and slight hop aroma. Flavor is an extension of the aroma. Somewhat fizzy carbonation, and that brought down the palate score for me. Semi-sweet malt/corn aftertaste. Not a very good beer, so I doubt I’ll have it again.

(Bottle) Pours yellow with little head. Light and sweet, but nothing special.
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 BuckNaked (1222) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - SEP 5, 2006
Can: Pours to a clear pale yellow with a medium white head that quickly fades. The aroma is lightly sweet corn syrup, grains, a hint of light fruity hops, and a bit of apples. The taste is bland corn, corn syrup, and just a hint of floral hops. Light bodied, medium carbonation, too watery on the palate.

Surprised this isn’t like Miller Lite and just claims it’s a pils, but is actually a pale lager. 12oz can. Pours a clear pale straw with a tiny, fizzy white head. Aroma of cereal grain, grass, and corn. Very slight earthiness--probably from the Fuggles. It doesn’t smell bad. Taste is a little bit sourand lemony along with the grass and corn. Thin palate and overly carbonated. I’ve had much worse.
