| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 31, 2005 Very strange, it says Minnesota brewing co. on the bottle cap. Yet, on the side label it says la crosse, WI. Must be some kind of partnership? Whatever, I like the label on the minnesota brewing co. version better. With the old crusty sailor guy. That to me is more of a "pigs eye" than some guy rafting down a stream! Now to the beer. Possibly the worst aroma for a beer ever, cheap champaign, rotting pears, and chemicals. And whats worse is that the flavors are the same! This brew is clearly one to avoid, but I have to thank cigarsnbeer for the sample! Padron4KM (400), Chandler, Arizona, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 22, 2005 12 oz can. Pours out golden yellow with an artificial looking, just tapped keg foamy head.
Decent lacing.
Aroma is grainy and a little sweet.
Flavor is a little sweet, a little grainy a touch sour on the finish.
Not great but it is better than a lot of other $5 six packs I’ve had. It was 110 degrees here today, and it went down quick and easy. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA

Aroma is malty with a malty grain flavor and bitter finish. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 17, 2005 The beer after its release from the 12-ounce can sets in the glass a cloudless gold with a towering white frothy head that after its desiccation leaves a thin sheet of lace to conceal the glass. Nose is sweet malt, fresh and crisp to the senses, start is sweet with a light grain profile and the top thin. Finish is stern in its acidity and the hops light in their spiciness, dry aftertaste that lingers, a light beer lover might find this tolerable, I find it way to light for me. incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA

Super cheap , 8 bucks for a case about, but actualy pretty tasty for a swill brew. Less taste then old style i would say, but i like to get it every so often just for grins.
