| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Can: Pours to a clear pale yellow with a medium white head that quickly fades. The aroma is lightly sweet corn syrup, grains, a hint of light fruity hops, and a bit of apples. The taste is bland corn, corn syrup, and just a hint of floral hops. Light bodied, medium carbonation, too watery on the palate. KAggie97 (2485), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Dec 30, 2004 Skunky aroma, head depends on how shaken up the can/bottle is, and palate is somewhat abrasive yet harmless. The swallow is refreshingly easy, and makes for a great session beer for the money (it got me through the first half of college). The fourth one tastes the best. Enjoyed in the returnable bottle. I might try this again. Not a connosieurs’ beer. (Note that this is only the fourth review in the past two years!!) frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Dark golden, mostly dead with a short-lived, fizzy, white head. Dry and corny aromas give way to pale malts/DME reminding me of weak Ovaltine. A whiff of herbal hops is light on the back end. Diesel fuel notes as it warms. (Don’t let it warm.) Bittersweet flavor leans towards sweetness and rings of a watered down malt liquor. A twang of sour, vegetal hops (?) in the finish.

Did have a thick foamy off white head. Yellow gold. Beery, slightly spice aroma. Smells better than tastes. Bland. Heavy with adjuncts. mybrainhurts (215), North Dakota, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 31, 2005 Very strange, it says Minnesota brewing co. on the bottle cap. Yet, on the side label it says la crosse, WI. Must be some kind of partnership? Whatever, I like the label on the minnesota brewing co. version better. With the old crusty sailor guy. That to me is more of a "pigs eye" than some guy rafting down a stream! Now to the beer. Possibly the worst aroma for a beer ever, cheap champaign, rotting pears, and chemicals. And whats worse is that the flavors are the same! This brew is clearly one to avoid, but I have to thank cigarsnbeer for the sample! themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Found this gem up at Shangy’s in Pennsylvania. I didn’t even make it to the counter when the girl behind the counter said ’Just the Pig’s Eye?!’. I can’t believe something like this exists. This stuff is rough at best. Don’t get me wrong; I can enjoy a cheap beer with the best of them but this is off-centered. I really don’t know what is smells like but it is putrid. Better going down and the hops are clear (thankfully). Very interesting. kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Feb 7, 2007 This is a pilsner? I thought this was a pale lager when drinking it. Lacks the hop bite common in pilsners. Taste is slightly sweet with some burning metallic notes in the finish.
