Pigs Fly is a micro fermented pale ale made from fresh Australian ingredients. Chinook hops, finest Australian 6 row barely and a traditional top fermenting ale yeast create a unique brew with a brilliant copper colour, floral aroma and subtle lingering bitterness.

Brewed by AIB for the Bowral Brewing Company

Appears coppery orange in colour with a minimal head, fine carbonation and a touch of haze. Aroma dwells on the malt profile, offering satisfying coppery biscuitiness and some orange peel coming from the malt. Prickly carbonation in the mouth before a surge of oranges and some spruce bitterness. It lacks a little in body, but I suppose would be a good session pint. Likeable enough.

From a bottle. Copper colour, minimal head, dry finish with a nice hop balance. Pretty good stuff.

Taste it, tick it off your list and move on... nothing much to see here and no reason to ever want another.

a pretty flavour less pale ale. little hop aroma or taste. There is no reason at all to seek out this beer.

Bottle. Nothing particularly special about this, other than that it is at the lower end of the good pale ale spectrum...

(31-Dec-2006) Sweet fruit hop aroma. Dark amber colour, goodish head and suds lacing. Big hop and light sweet malt flavour. Hoppy finish and sweet malt aftertaste.

Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, hints of fruit, caramel and bread. Taste is light to medium sweet leading to a light bitter finish. OK.

Cheers Jack. Clear amber beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Light palate, semi dry and a little crisp. Light lagerish malt - a bit papery. Super mild citrus. Semi dry finish. Just about passes muster.

Bottle, thanks to Jackl. It pours clear amber with a small off-white head. The nose is earth, light floral, malty, umami aspect and smoked ham. The taste is earth, toast, brown bread, decent bitterness, some underlying sweetness, metal and faint spice with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and average carbonation. So-so at best.
