Commercial Description:
Pigs Fly is a micro fermented pale ale made from fresh Australian ingredients. Chinook hops, finest Australian 6 row barely and a traditional top fermenting ale yeast create a unique brew with a brilliant copper colour, floral aroma and subtle lingering bitterness.

Brewed by AIB for the Bowral Brewing Company

Stubby enjoyed in the company of Sully and Highlandlad. Cloudy yellow body and very lemony in the taste. That about as many notes that I wrote about this beer, so not very impressive.

Hop malt aroma. Clear amber colour with fair head and lacing. Bitter hop malt flavour. Flat palate.

Thin mouth with barley noticeable hops. Like too many Australian pale ales, just had no backbone or bitterness.

Bottle (330ml) 4.7%. Poured a golden orange with yellow highlights, with a small white head. Aroma was of peaches, passion fruit with some mild grassy hops on the nose. Taste is initially sweet with more fruits present such as passion fruit (again) and grape fruit with some mild metallic bitterness towards the end. Light bodied with a sweet/watery mouthful and short finish.

Bottle. Not too bad, bit of mandarin and passionfruit perhaps, and decent enough bitterness. Fizziness took away a bit from the subtlety a bit.
