Ample spicy cinnamon and sweet orange peel on the nose, hazed sedimentary burnt orange and a sanded head that gravitated to the edges. Why is this a SHV? Is it strictly the amount of spices used? Many other Belgian whites are spice forward. I’m just saying is all. I dig the flavor and dig the spices which compliment the solid brown ale base, but I’d rather have it with a football game on and maybe some cranberry stuffing. The cinnamon and nutmeg play together really well, tasty all around.

Amber with off white head. Aroma is a light ginger, caramel, nutmeg, light yeastiness. Taste is a light spiciness. ginger, light caramel, and malt. A little raw in the maltiness.

Fresh bomber. Bottle says 5.0% ABV. Pours a hazy reddish-brown color with a foamy, beige colored head. The froth settles to a thin film with thick, bubbly patches at the edges. A soapy wash leaves random spotting behind. Aromas include caramel malt, brown sugar, and light biscuit, with notes of citrus hops, pine, and winter spices. It’s a hint vegetal, but the sweet caramel and earthy nutmeg notes mostly cover for it. Flavors follow suit, well balanced between the light sweetness of the malts and the earthy pine and citrus hoppiness. Medium bodied and a touch lively on the tongue, with lingering bitterness. There’s nothing complex going on here, really, just a nice, sessionable, low ABV winter ale. Nice brew.

Picked up a single 22-oz bomber from LiquidSolutions.biz. Pours a clear brownish amber brew with an average beige head that slowly dissipates to a thin off-white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some citrus zest, a touch of nutmeg, and green vegetables. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of caramel malt, some holiday spice (cloves, nutmeg) a hint of brown sugar and some toffee. Finish is semi-sweet with a lingering holiday spice aftertaste.

Light malt nose, hazy deep amber color. Big broad middle with caramel and sugar tones, but the flavor is mostly characterized by a touch of spice towards the end. Not too spicy though. Solid beer, but nothing special. Lacked uniqueness and was a little more reserved than I had hoped for.

Bottle courtesy of 5000. Pours mahogany with a thin white head. Smells of spice, caramel, some brown sugar. Tastes sweet and caramelly with some hints of cinnamon. Decent.

Pours out a cloudy orange/amber toppd with a sand head. Aroma of spice and sweetness. Tast was more of the sweet spice and malts. A nice brew.

Bomber poured a hazy orange with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, orange zest, spice and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, toffee, orange zest, cinnamon and nutmeg with a smooth dry lingering spiced finish.

22oz. Orange label and an identical orange pour. Reminds me immediately of a spiced pumpkin beer. Lots of sweet spice (reminds of pie) on the nose and a robust hoppy but overwhelmingly vegetable-spice flavor. Body is pretty thin. Intriguing but far from my zone.

Amber color. Malt and light hops, with a strange vegetable flavor. It could use more spice. Low carbonation.
