Draft at the brewery. Pours a dark, copper color with a light, lacing head. Strong, hoppy aroma. Some citrus but mostly hops. Smooth taste. Citrusy hops taste. Not much of a dry finish. Decent.

12oz at brewpub. Clear golden color. Sticky long lasting head with a whole lotta lacing. Lots of fresh slightly lemony and slightly resinous with moderate bitterness. All those aspects are well within reason a hint of tropical flavors. Taste is bright on hops, malts donít get in the way. Clean malt profile but bitter and lemon heavy hops (not to heavy). Decent DIPA with clean hop flavor but Iíd like hops flavors to be better. As the beer warmed up a sweet (maybe light butter) flavor emerged. Was hard to tell.

On draft at the brewpub Seattle. Golden amber pour, slight haze, with a white head. Sweet and fruity, resinous hops, caramel, a bit sugary, and moderate bitterness. Not great, but one of their more enjoyable offerings.

"a surprise on tap at the Pike pub. not a letdown, but less focused and not as good or as well balanced as their regular IPA. the body was a little bigger and juicier, and the flavor a little more bitter and sweet. not the best, but not bad at all."

Draught at Collective on Tap, Woodinville, WA
Cloudy golden color with creamy head. Hop aroma, fruity, but not very strong, with a light animal note. It expresses itself better in the flavor, which is lean, with pale malt, very light sweetness, very fruity and resiny hops, and a hint of fox grapes.
Very good.

Draught at St. Augustineís, Vancouver
Cloudy light amber color with small head. Sweet caramel aroma, some toffee, mild hop fruitiness, olive oil. Lean mouthfeel, with just a moderate level of sweetness; strong caramel flavor with a toffee accent; powerful bitterness; the hops are very resiny, piney, and also with a strong bitter orange character.
Old school; pleasant because not sticky; among DIPAs, a quaffable one.

Tap. Abundant tropical fruits in the aroma and flavor. Mango, mandarun orange, passion fruit. Almost candy sweet. Well balanced with honey flavor and caramel malts. Superb.

I find bottles of this highly variable. Some times itís really hoppy and citrusy, sometimes itís all malt, and today itís malty and piney. On itís best days itís a 3.8 and on itís worse itís a 3.3. Fairly cheap, I think a bomber was on sale for $3.69.

Wonderful aroma of dried fruit and hops. Great looking caramel colour with a lasting white well laced head. Complex taste of fruit, floral and citrus. A creamy feel with and a pleasant fruity finish,

Great beer. Huge hops aroma and flavor. Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice malt backing with fruit and floral hops. This was a great 2xIPA.

On tap @ Beer Junction. Not sure if this is a de-tuned version of Hopulus Erectus Triple IPA... Pours dark yellow golden with medium creamy white head. Aroma is mild caramel malt and a little lightly spicy herbal hops. Taste is sweet muddled darker caramel malt and big bitter dry hops. Lightly floral, and thatís about it for the hops. Not a bad beer, but not much to distinguish it either.

Growler from Super Deli Mart. Pours darkish orange with medium head. Aroma is piney hops and sweet malts. Taste is big pine and grapefruit hops with sweet biscuity malts. Bitter finish. Nice hops but actually malt dominated, which makes the 8% abv kinda low for this style.

Draught (as Doubble Hopulus) @ The Pike Brewing Co, Seattle, WA

Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of malts, fruits, citrus and herbal notes. Taste is sweet, malty and herbal with some citrus and grapefruit. Finish is sweet and caramely with some bitterness. A bit too sweet and malty for my taste.
