Bottle... Poured near black with a light, brown head. Tasted almost like dirt (infected?). Subdued malts and not much going on. Awkward balance with charred malts and light hops. Roasted tones.

Black. Thick ad roasted malt. Very dry, just the heavily roasted malt/grain, with some oak. Smooth palate, alcohol is hidden.

Thanks Tampa Crew for sharing this one. Pours dark cola brown with an off-white head. Nose is typical stout- dark chocolate, vanilla, some bourbon, but some sourness with some vinegary quality. Flavor is about the same with more Albine Boris or Cuvee Delphine than I enjoy. Overall it is a medium to full-bodied stout with all manner of goodness, but there is that lactic/ sour quality.

Skyview Tasting 2.5. Courtesy of Skyview. Black color with a thin head. Oaky aroma. Light salt and roast flavors, strong malt. A simple, yet tasty stout.

Acquired via trade with 5000. Pours an opaque dark brown colored brew with a thin tan head that slowly dissipates to a film top. Aroma of roasted dark malt, vanilla, a hint of bourbon, chocolate and a touch of toffee. Taste is full bodied, very soft texture with flavors of toasted dark malt, bourbon, vanilla, dark chocolate and dark pitted fruits. Finish is semi-sweet with a fruity and bourbon aftertaste that even has some alcohol warmth. Very nice.

Bottle at Tampa tasting. Poured black with red highlights and a thin light brown head. Nose is roasted malt, chocolate, wood, and some caramel. Medium bodied with a smooth mouth feel and weak carbonation. Flavors of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, and oak. I also got some fruity plum notes and some bourbon. Finishes slightly sweet.

A nice woody aroma that’s a bit refreshing after all the sloppy bourbon messes I’ve had tonight. Tart lactic body and some major roast. Dark pitted fruits with mild bourbon character.

Bottle shared by iowaherkeye. Thanks! Poured an opaque black color. the head was brown with an orange tint. Smelled of toffee, molasses, crackers, and milk chocolate. Medium to full bodied with mild roasty bitterness up front. I tasted chocolate, dark toffee, vanilla, and subdued sweet cream. Pretty good and not over-bourbonted.

Bottle. Dark brown pour, light brown head. Aroma is very toasty and full of chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and toasted oak. Flavor is quite roasty and a bit dry. Lots of good bourbon, chocolate, vanilla and oak. Damn nice beer here.
