Bottle, 22oz. A black beer topped by a tan head of moderate size. Slightly milky and roasted nose, some chocolate and alcohol blending in. All too weak, but nice. The flavor is roasted, with chocolate, burnt notes and some alcohol. A little milky sourness too. Medium to full body, dry and slighlty warming. Nicely carbonated. The finish is of the lasting kind, roasted, chocolaty and slightly sour. And warming. A decent beer, but nothing I will miss drinking again. 100409

Bottle. [thank you, after4ever]
Lovely looks. Utterly, completely opaque black with a magnificent, stayin, creamy, beige to ash-grey head. Impressive woody aroma, slight blackberry tartness, oak, sweetness, vanilla, lots of roasted malts, dark chocolate, figs. Highish carbonation, fine very dry mouthfeel. Flavour is a little disappointing. Though it has god oaky tartness, the chocolate behind it is sadly limited, light roasted, soft viniousness. Long, lingering, oaky, light fruity tartness in the light warming finish.

Bomber from Liquid Solutions. Pours black with a 5-finger creamy/foamy/clingy dark tan head. Aromas of chocolate and wood. Medium plus body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is oak, chocolate, burnt malt, and arguably vanilla. Or something. Really mouthsmacking. No heat. It just seems to get more chocolaty with time. Quite tasty. Seems to be alive. Seems to oscillate between oak and chocolate. Just can’t get "bourbon" though.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Tmoney99 (7282) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Bottle shared at Noogfest High 5.
Poured a black color with a large frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate, woody and alcohol aroma. Heavy bittersweet roasted malty flavor with a heavy sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation.
This is a very good beer.
