2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bpreo (917) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - JAN 20, 2012
One of Pike’s less beers, along with the Scotch. I still enjoyed it tremendously.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 glennmastrange (1545) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JAN 3, 2012
Bottle. Moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, light to moderate grapefruit for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with a hint of date. Head is small, creamy with larger bubbles, white with some slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky orange/tan. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a carbonation between soft and lively. A tasty beer but it doesn’t have the stand out IPA aspects I like from the style.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 SuIIy (1828) - Natick, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Bottle. Pours an amber coller with a small white frothy head. Nose is apricots, biscuits, floral hops with a light dried fruit note. Palate is stingy up front with a slickness in the finish. Notes of dried peaches and apricots, lots of toasty biscuit malts and a light floral hop finish.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 pushkinwow (739) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 28, 2011
12oz bottle. Nice amber with a tan and ruby quickly dissipating head. Nice malt backbone, good balance of citrus (peach, some grapefruit) and pine. Somewhat sweet, becomes more bitter, nice medium body with average carbonation, very well balanced between malt and hops, becomes dry, long finish with malt and citrus. Ending is less well balanced then the rest of the beer - bitterness becomes a little astringent but still a good beer.

Floral nose, nice head that dissapates a little fast, slight lattice left. Citrus, piney notes. Pours golden, slightly copper. Tasty.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 AWMiller (476) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - NOV 17, 2011
What a good tasting IPA! One of the finer IPAs that is not overly hoppy and not overly sweet. There is a very fine balance in this brew. A big malty hit up front with loads of citrus-y hops in the middle; long-lasting notes of warm bread in the aftertaste. Very refreshing and delicious. A delicious pairing with my creamy venison brats and wild mushroom casserole!
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 CampesinoTino (454) - Lake Stevens, Washington, USA - NOV 14, 2011
Bottle. Golden honey colored with a half-inch of off-white head. The aroma is mostly floral hops and citrus rind with a little bit of toasted malt. The flavor opens up with lots of orange citrus, herbal hops and pine followed by some earthy malt and caramel notes. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with smooth carbonation and a bitter, citrus finish. Overall, an above average IPA with good balance and a clean finish.
