Sweet caramel malts and citrus hops are rounded out by butterscotch in the nose. Opaque orange-amber body is topped by a generous off white head that recedes rapidly to a thin partial cover. Biscuity and caramel malt provide a solid base for the pronounced bitterness with plenty of citrus and floral hop character. Again the butterscotch rounds things out. Medium full body is quite luscious with pleasantly prickly carbonation that offsets it quite nicely. Everything comes together quite nicely and the whole is definitely more than the sum of its parts. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (Brewery Creek, Jun-08).

At the brewpub, a bizarre touristy mall like place. Bitter. Bit of hops. Not the most amazing IPA ever, but not bad considering the weird environment it is made in.

Resin creamy caramel nose, some floral notes present. Deep Amber/copper with a frothy head. Great sweet caramel maltiness, with a solid hop balance. Good mouth feel, wasn’t too heavy, and the brightness of the hops created a great finish. Solid "easy drinking" IPA.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, dark burnt copper color with a white wisp. Very lively aroma with lots of sweet malt, fruits, grass, flowers and citrus. Toasted caramel malt flavor. Pretty sweet. Tastes more like a Pale ale or even a hopped up amber. A nice beer.

[1096-20080216] Tap @ Pike brewpub (Seattle, WA). Grassy hops and yeast aroma. Clear, red orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head and thick lacing. Grassy hops continues in the flavour with a yeast background. Grainy medium body. Not bad, a little scattered.
