Sep 5, 2009 bottle thanks to bhensonb. poured a hazy orange with a white head. aroma of caramel, orange, pine, butter or margerine, and some slight toffee. flavor was pine, grass, and orange. medium-heavy body with low-medium carbonation with a lingering bitter. thanks again bill.

Sep 1, 2009 A hazy orange beer with a small head. Aroma of pine, & orange. The taste was citrusy, piney, & bitter with a odd ending. To me the flavors just do not coax well together but was not a bad IPA.

Aug 24, 2009 Pours a murky orange-amber, with a smallish off-white head. Lots of pine resin in the nose, countered by caramel - not much citrus. I like this one just fine. Quite a bit of malt, but not to the point where I’m disappointed in it overshadowing the hop presence. Seems like a near-instant classic - certainly a standard Northwest IPA. I’d like it a bit drier, but other than that, this is a nice brew.

Aug 2, 2009 Pours completely hazed orange with not much head. Aroma is lemon, pine, and grapefruit. Taste is resinous with not much thick malt body to support the fairly strong hops for a lower alc beer. Does finish dry and crisp.

Aug 2, 2009 Bomber from Barrios’ Massechussetts Trip Tasting. Pours a slightly hazy amber with orange highlights and a big bubble wispy offwhite head. Nose is resiny pineapple that is not overpowering. Flavor is has lots of woody hops but manages to find some balance. Lingering bitter finish. Tastes a little like there could be some rye in this.
