dwedin (238), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 13, 2006 Strong toasted malt and light flower aromas. Smells of good whiskey. Smooth carmel flavors. Very light bitter finish but sweet malt lingers. One of the least bitter IPAs I have had but a decent beer. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA Aug 23, 2006 Updated: Oct 28, 200712 oz bottle. Average size bubbly white head. Quite a bit of lace.Semi-hazy amber color. Aroma is floral, lemony, bready, yeasty. Taste begins with some orange, then some sweet caramel malts, then lemon, followed by a fairly hoppy orange/grapefruit finish. Very balanced albeit bitter grapefruit- refeshing IPA. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Aug 21, 2006 12-oz. Pours medium amber with a bit of orange highlight. Laceless, virtually headless, and looks still. Attack has nice tinges bittering, though, and the mid-palate and the finish have lots of nice herbal and citric notes. Miedum body and carb. Very drinkable beer that may be a bit too cold right this second. cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Aug 17, 2006 via trade with Buck Dich - Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head.
