12 oz bottle. Clear copper color with a small head. Aroma is hops and cloves. Taste is full of citrus fruits that are somewhat acidic. Finishes gently but lacking any real interesting qualities.

Golden-amber colour. Toasty, woody, grapefruity aroma. The palate is strongly woody, with plenty of toasty, whole wheat bready notes to back it up. Citrus is light and lemony, adding a refreshing note to the finish to cut through what is almost too much crystal malt. Well-balanced example.

Flavoursome American-style IPA. Bronze colour, big lasting head. Aroma has plenty of sweet malt and floral hops. Full-bodied and grapefruity, with some spices before the dry, tannic finish. Very grippy. (Bottle) (Bottle)

Thanks to Buck Dich for this. Pours hazy orangish with tons of head. Aroma of hops, citrus, florals, malt. Tastes hoppy, with some grapefruit, floral esters, and hints of black pepper. Smooth palate and a semi-dry grapefruity finish. Very good.

(12 oz bottle: Liquid Solutions in Tigard, OR) I just purchased this bottle from Liquid Solutions, but I suspect the beer isn’t the freshest. There are some definite off flavors lingering in the background of the flavor and aroma, I will attempt to overlook these flaws, and using my notes from 2002, piece together a meaningful review. A retry is in order, but until then, this will have to do. This flavorful and balanced IPA has a moderately strong, hoppy bitterness from the start that shows some assertiveness in the finish, and a lightly sweet maltiness that definitely holds its own early, but eventually gives way to the hops in the bitter finish. Like the flavor, the nose is also fairly well balanced. Light amber in color, and slightly hazy in appearance. The off-white head pours to half an inch and shows solid retention, maintaining a thin layer for the duration of the session, and leaves plenty of ringed lacing on the glass.

Pours amber with a minimal white head. Not much lacing to mention. Fruity aroma. Earthy, citrus hop characteristics. Pleasant bitter aftertaste. Good brew.

Not crazy, not over the top, but a slid, well made IPA with just enough hops to do the trick and malt to give it character. Really enjoyable.
