3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bärnstensfärgad dimmig öl med vitt skum. Blommig humlebeska och en antydan av citrus och malt i doften. En balanserad citrusbeka i smaken. Ganska torr munkänsla.

Everything that I look for in an IPA. Tasty, great aroma, good hoppiness but not overpowering, one of my favorites.

Enjoyable IPA from Seattle. Not too hoppy but with some grapefruit on the nose. Tasty stuff.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear red pour with a single finger head. Strong floral aroma and hints of grain. Earthy. Mouth is a little thin. Taste is sweet but very bitter finish. The hops really balance out the sweetness. I liked this quite a bit.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pike IPA has a medium, creamy, cream-colored head, an opaque, orange appearance, some visible bubbles stuck to the side of the glass, and a bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of musty, piney hops, hop oil, some citrus, and malt. Taste is of alcohol, piney oil, dank, wet hay, white bread and white bread crust, lots of hop bitterness, especially in the aftertaste, and a bit of citrus peel. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy and soft, and Pike IPA finishes wet, heavy, sloshy, and drinkable. Overall, this is one of those heavy, mushy Indian Pale Ales. It’s still remarkable and worth trying. 3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
650 bottle to flute
Primarily an aroma of lemon and bread, perhaps a little bit of orange. Slightly cloudy amber with a lot of particulates, large off-white head quickly reducing with plenty of lacing. Sweet peppery taste not too much bitterness. Medium bodied but slightly watery and silky. Not IPA that I'd seek out but okay.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pike IPA is next on my blogging/reviewing list. It’s pretty darn tasty stuff!
Coppery and clear, light tan head wasn’t bad and lacing was good.
Aroma is subdued but nice, earthy hops, piney resin, light malts.
Taste is pretty balanced, if a bit heavy on the earthy hops side. Malts are ample and create a nice balanced beer. I think the munich malt adds a nice dimension, it’s not something I see a lot in IPAs.
Body is medium and actually pretty drinkable, despite the rather heavy malt and hops assault on your tastebuds.
Overall this beer makes me want to try more of Pike’s beers. That should say it all right there.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Pike Pub & Brewery, Seattle - 09/11/12.
Lightly hazed mid amber with a thin off white head that soon clears to the edges and forms a pond.
Nose is caramel malt, hops, light tropcial fruit notes - not very busy really!
Taste follows, pine, hops, touch of mango and grapefruit.
Medium bodied with light prickly carbonation, bitter finish..
Drinkable but more entry level IPA than anything nearing great!
