Dry and floral, with the beautiful aroma of fresh hops and a sublime maltiness from gently roasted barley.

Clear slightly dark golden under a thin foamy white head. Big floral and grapefruit-rind nose with an underlying cracker malt sweetness. Flavor is a bit floral, a bit resiny, a bit grapefruit-zesty-sweet, mild bitterness on a clean semisweet finish. Nicely done.

On tap in Seattle. Excellent IPA. Floral hoppiness with notes of orange, citrus and mandarine. Malty sweetness as well makes this a very balanced and refreshing IPA. Highly recommended.

Bottle at home. Pours lightly hazy amber with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is biscuit and honey malt, pear and apple esters with spicy, floral, and citrusy hops. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness with lightly sweet malt, fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a hazy coppery/orange colored body with a slim less than a quarter finger white head that barely coats the top of the body, moderate slightly foamy lacing tries to cling to the glass. The smell had a slightly piney/resin, but malty and all combined through a sort of earthiness. The taste was balanced between the malts and the hops, slight bittersweet aftertaste and a dry finish. On the palate, it sat at/about a medium, and slightly sessionable. Carbonation seems to be adequate for the style and for me, nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, this was a good AIPA that I would have again, nothing spectacular, but nothing bad.

Tap. Pours a mostly clear copper body with a small foamy off-white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is nicely citrusy with some pine resin and moderate caramel malt. The flavor is bitter and aggressive, but not a whole lot of hop flavor. Slightly sweet caramel malt base. A little too sweet for me despite the big bitter finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with some clingy resiny hops on the back end that lingers on for ever. Decent, but I could go for a little more hop flavor and a little less bitterness.

Pours a hazy copper color with ok soapy head. That thined out pretty fast. Aroma is apricot and a touch of mango. Taste follows the Aroma well with a medium to thin mouth feel. Nothin special but not bad just a bit different and mild. Not much hop characters or malt kinda like drinking a strange fruit juice.

Couleur dorée avec une petite mousse blanche. L’arôme et le goût sont d’houblon. Pas très complexe, une bière solide, mais non-remarquable.

Bottled: unk Pours a honey color with plenty of yeast globs. Broken sheet of light cream foam. Smells like earthy hops, a touch of grapefruit and resin - standard NW style, but sans artistry. Tastes bitter with biscuit and warm malts. Really simple flavor with little left to ponder. Medium bodied with moderate carb and an off-dry finish. Meh. Serving type: bottle 12-21-2012
