3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not crazy, not over the top, but a slid, well made IPA with just enough hops to do the trick and malt to give it character. Really enjoyable.

Maybe it was the plastic glass - but I wasn’t impressed. lifeless pour, with a near-lifeless taste. A little bit of red malt, a little bit of hops and that is about all we have here - boring.

Clear orangish brew with a shitload of creamy foam.Nose is a fragrant hoppy malty and almost a fresh orange aroma.Flavor is a little less than I like but still soft on the hops with a side order of malt.A nice session brew. Thanks to Andre’ for this, and many others !!!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a golden orange hue with a small white head. Aromas of pine and hops but the flavor loses all of its points. Very unique, but not that great.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This IPA pours with a golden orange body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet yet slightly bitter and hoppy with a slight pine note and a little sourness. The flavor is bitter and hoppy with a slight sweetness, a little pine, a little coriander and a little funk. Meidum bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very spice/pepper hopped aroma. Hazy darker orange with a small white head. Taste has a belgian style spice thats not to my liking in an IPA. Sweet spicy fruity start with a moderate bitter finish. Just not my thing to mix that spiciness into an IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
caramel, flowers and lemon in the nose; some bready malt and nice bitterness throughout; decent balance and overall a pretty good IPA

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark orange appearance, with a fluffy white head with thick creamy lacing. Fresh, sweet floral aroma with some sprucey back end notes. Citrusy flavor, but not overdone or tongue numbing. Also detect a bit of nectarines. Some nutty maltiness balances it out well. Clean even mouthfeel, not stinging like some IPAs can be. All in all, a most decent IPA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 19, 2006 My rating below was from Sept. 2004. Either I DID have a bad bottle or my palate has changed. Thoroughly enjoyable beer. Very drinkable. Sweet malty flavour with strong hops. Malty allows the beer to flow nicely through your mouth as your tongue tries to catch the hops floating by. Does seem to have some variation bottle-to-bottle.
Not a big fan. Bottle. Did I get an old one? Orangey mid amber. Big head with nice lacing. Very strong spruce aroma. Flavour was gasoline edged spruce. Beer was harsh and bitter best described as a baby Ruination.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pretty balanced west coast IPA with strong hop palate balanced with powerful malt backbone. One of the better offerings in Seattle but by no means the best.
