3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light color, not much head. Nice sharp flavor flavor, you can really taste the hops as the flavor goes on.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On Tap Caramel pour punctuated by hops aroma. Much more hops in this than the other beers on tap at Pike Pub & Brewery. Pretty standard Pacific Northwest style IPA. But it's tasty.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice orange color with a firmly retained off white head. Aroma is hoppy but also sweet malt with a bit of biscuit. Flavor is really nice. Very assertive use of the hop in the initial taste and the finish. Bit of malt to add balance. Damn, I wished there were brews like this on every corner here in Texas. Thanks Andre'

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2004 had this on tap at Pike pub in downtown seattle. Very solid IPA with good flavor. Also had this from the bottle and it wasn't as good.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Exotic fruity aroma, mango and peach. Seems rich in fresh amarillos. Healthy bitterness, good flavor as weel. Malt is solid but hop flavor is prominent. Nice IPA.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear orange body with a frothy white head. Pouring out the rest of the bottle I see that this is a bottle conditioned beer, lots of yeast floaties. Pleasant sweet malt, almost an English ESB aroma with some cinnamon in ther, as well as citrus hop aroma. The flavor is like a really hoppy ESB. Citrus hops and sweet malt. Body is medium. Really an interesting IPA, much different then typical IPA. Would make an excellent session IPA.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a deep gold, almost amber with a nice thick layer of head, and spotty lacing. Spicy nose, full of cinnamon and maybe ginger. Maybe even licorice. More of the same in the flavor, the licorice standing out a bit more. Palate is smooth and coats the mouth. Maybe it's mint that I'm tasting. Nevertheless, it's a pretty good IPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2004 Bottle: Lite on the nose. Fruity, a kind of belgiany scent. Orange color, clean with little head. Grapefruit rind and skunky. Thin body with big bitter finish. Bottle had a Best by April date on the side. I bought in october. Hope this explains why not very good. Origanal rating 4/3/4/3/10. Tap at brewpub. Much better than bottle experience. Citrus, orange and grapefruit. Carmel. Lite pine. Nice clean orange copper color. No head. Sweet, bitter flavors. Same as nose except more grapefruit than orange. Kinda creamy, thin bodied. Bitter finish. Very tasty, classic west coast. First beer in Seattle.

This is a very full-flavored IPA. It has good, strong hopping with a rich, malty flavor.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light aroma of floral hops, very northwestern feeling with a nice background of malt present, not too overpowered. I got a kind of swampy musk smell to this too. Appearance is a clear watered down amber look with little head and stagnant lacing. Alcohol and bitter malt flavor. Dry mouthfeel, slightly acidic. Not too impressive for an IPA, not fresh tasting.
