3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pike IPA has a medium, creamy, cream-colored head, an opaque, orange appearance, some visible bubbles stuck to the side of the glass, and a bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of musty, piney hops, hop oil, some citrus, and malt. Taste is of alcohol, piney oil, dank, wet hay, white bread and white bread crust, lots of hop bitterness, especially in the aftertaste, and a bit of citrus peel. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy and soft, and Pike IPA finishes wet, heavy, sloshy, and drinkable. Overall, this is one of those heavy, mushy Indian Pale Ales. Itís still remarkable and worth trying. IBU 60. Smooth. Not too hoppy. Lightly carbonated. Dark caramel color. Thick head. A great IPA selection

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz for 4.99. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is malt and piney hops. Taste is similar but subdued; malts coming in at first but then a slight hoppy bitterness at the end. Tastes a little watery actually. Not much flavor in this one. I wasnít expecting a hop bomb, but I was hoping for more flavor. Just an ok IPA. Body and texture are slightly thinner than I like in an IPA. A mixed bag. Not the worst I have had, but there are far better.

A superb IPA! Citrus and floral elements make this hoppy beer smooth from start to finish. Smooth aftertaste remains within ideal range. Highly recommended. Vies for title of my favorite IPA.

The aroma of hops is subtle but pleasant. The malt provides a solid backbone for a very earthy hop build.

Grapefruit nose. Citrus hoppy flavor, clean finish. Surprisingly a bit too watery and mild for my palateís liking, but ok simple IPA.

Clear copper with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, flowers, and bread. Taste is bready with moderate bitterness. Medium bodied, crisp, and a little dry. Decent, but kind of weak.

Harsh. Not the green hoppy floweryness I usually like, more bitter. Not great, but I had one that had been opened the night before.
