Dry and floral, with the beautiful aroma of fresh hops and a sublime maltiness from gently roasted barley.

Pike IPA has a medium, creamy, cream-colored head, an opaque, orange appearance, some visible bubbles stuck to the side of the glass, and a bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of musty, piney hops, hop oil, some citrus, and malt. Taste is of alcohol, piney oil, dank, wet hay, white bread and white bread crust, lots of hop bitterness, especially in the aftertaste, and a bit of citrus peel. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy and soft, and Pike IPA finishes wet, heavy, sloshy, and drinkable. Overall, this is one of those heavy, mushy Indian Pale Ales. It’s still remarkable and worth trying. Pretty good. Amber color pine and floral notes old school maybe English? From the source.

Beer that focuses on balance rather than hop assertiveness. Grassy, a little citrus, a little pine. Tried with Josh at the brewery in 2016.

12 oz bottle. Aroma is malty-sweet earth. Nice taste of cascade hops, just right bitterness, lingering aftertaste. A bit too much in places but overall a solid IPA that is above average.

The Aroma has a malty side for an IPA. There is an brown/orange appearance. A balance between bitter and sweet. the texture is pretty thin with a good amount of carbonation. As a Seattlite this beer is from a well known brewery that has a location at the Pike Place Market hence the name. It is a good seattle beer and I wouldn’t be reluctant to order a pint when available.

Very old school style IPA. All malt here. Pours dark amber with decent head and lacing. Light tangy finish, some light citrus. Lots of mash malt vibe in aftertaste. Tap sampled at Alaska Lodge at SEATAC.
