3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
No bottle date
Pours a nice bourbon caramel with a small fleeting white residue. Brilliant clarity. Smells of toast, english tea, some brown sugar and a wee bit of cinnamon. Flavor carries plenty of bread, some yeast and slight oxidation (cardboard), hints of tea. Medium bodied with light carb and a noninvasive finish. A decent, approachable beer. I can see myself grabbing this on a cool fall day.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pale straw golden color. Sweet bread aroma. Sips malty and surprisingly crisp. Big malt and hop presence in this one. Does have slight whiskey flavor as advertised. Typical hoppy pac west version of the style.

Bottle at home. Pours clear dark amber with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is toast, caramel, and nutty malt with dates and figs, and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and bitterness, dark fruits and a sweet finish. Medium to full body and medium carbonation.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pike Kilt Lifter has a thick, cream-colored head, a murky, light brown appearance, some bubble streams, and a few lacing rings left behind. The aroma is of slightly fruity, sweet brown bread crust, and light brown sugar. Taste is of sweet & sour sauce, brown bread crust, light brown sugar, moderate hop bitterness, and toffee. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy and a bit velvety, and Pike Kilt Lifter finishes semi-dry, decently refreshing, and rather rich. Overall, this is tasty and interesting. RJT

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Caramel malt and slight peat flavors...simple but pretty good. Its rather thin for a scotch though. If you like this kind of thing, dont avoid but dont seek out.

This beer is not overly outstanding for the style but is very drinkable with the presence of considerably more caramel malt than anything else

Poured from a cold bottle. Light brown color, medium off white head. Light sweet hops and malt smell. Smooth hops and malt flavor, with a little peat and bitterness ass well.
