3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
It’s winter now and that means dry air in the house. Dry air means sore throats and sore throats mean going to sleep with a lozenge in my mouth. For various biological and parental reasons, I lack the ability to unconsciously consume a lozenge while I sleep. Flash forward two hours later and I startle awake with cotton mouth and a dry stone lozenge against my sticky cheek. And that is what I think of with this beer. It’s a bit of sweet toffee with mild flavors and more balance towards the hops than I’d have thought.

1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
The aroma carries some malt and a hint of peat. Unfortunately that is all overpowered by a bitter, almost rancid flavor. Not good at all.
