kiefdog (1567), Tampa, Florida, USA Dec 17, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a clear golden color with thin white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of syrup, caramel, nuts, flowers, toffee--typical belgian tripel aroma. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, some ripe fruit, prunes, apples and and maybe just a hint of citrus. Generally medium body with a sweet finish. markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Dec 7, 2008 Thanks Ibrew2or3 for the share. Pours a clear gold with a nose of tart apple, pear, honey, and floral notes. Flavor is hops, some funk, and fruitiness. Fruit stays around for a little bit. Not bad. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Dec 4, 2008 Pours clear brilliant gold with thin white head. The aroma has full notes of sugary malts, apple, light colored fruits and some flower pedals. The taste begins with a pulse of sweet and roasty malts followed by apricots and apples and moving toward harsher fruit notes. It then returns back to roastiness into the finish. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Nov 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a one finger white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of sweet pilsner malt, light fruits, and spicy yeast. Taste is the same as aroma with floral hops. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Decent argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Nov 30, 2008 (22oz bottle, thanks Ibrew2or3) Small white head atop lightly hazed light amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, fruity (peach, some prune, light melon). Taste is moderately sweet, fruit, straw. In my book, not dry enough for the style. Medium-full body, some stickiness. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 21, 2008 (Draught) Pours a hazy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, banana, clove, light citrus, and candi sugar. Flavor of yeast, coriander, dough, candi sugar, and a touch of honey. mvcramer (229), Arlington, Massachusetts, USA Oct 3, 2008 Thanks to my wife for bringing this one back from Seattle for me. Sadly it was a little disappointing. Golden color and appropriate foamy head. Very little aroma. Some sweet fruitiness, but a bit faint. Didn’t get much of a yeasty note at all. Fairly bland on the palate, nothing really jumped. There was an odd bitterness to it. Not quite hoppy, but some spice to it. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but it just didn’t seem right. Would love to try it again when I’m in Seattle - perhaps the flavor was a casualty of the trip back East. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Sep 6, 2008 Clear golden color with a thin filmy head. Aroma is pretty fruity I guess with some yeasty spice, sweet bready dough, and some peppery hops. Moderately fruity and spicy yeast is accompanied by a little breadiness. Peppery hops that I though were almost aspirin like lingered through the finish. Pretty smooth and easy for 9%.
