patricks110 (148), Alberta, Canada Aug 12, 2008 Bottle at Bottlescrew Bills, Calgary, AB. Pours a golden straw colour with a 2 finger foamy white head. Aroma of weat, grass, and faint hints of citurs and nuts. Flavour is sweet, a bit watery and earthy. Normal mouthfeel. This is a good beer and is much better than the Seattle Pale Ale in my opinion. WOuld drink again if I get the chance. roder_60 (871), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 27, 2008 Pours bright yellow with foamy white head. Aroma faint wheat/grass. Flavor nice and sweet light flavor without being watery. Perfect for warm day. anders37 (2569), Malmö, Sweden Jul 15, 2008 Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a malty hoppy and slightly fruity aroma. Fruity malty earthy hoppy flavor. Has a malty hoppy finish. iowaherkeye (1382), rocking podunk Marengo!, Iowa, USA Jul 14, 2008 12oz bottle, no date from riversideAK. Clear golden orange with a 1/2 finger white head, fading to a fing and thin film rather quickly. More hops than I’d expected--pine and florals with some biscuity malts and honey in the background. Flavor was pretty much the same with the moderate hop presence turning more piney, and plenty of sweet biscuity malts and honey on the malt end. Bitterness peaked around a 3 1/2 in the back corners of my tongue. Low carbonation with a light body. I’m going to mirror Naven’s comment that I was pleasantly surprised, and would have no problem sessioning this for a night. Naven (712), San Diego, California, USA Jul 13, 2008 Bottle. Pleasantly surprised by this one. Nice golden color, very drinkable. Surprisingly hoppy. Well done and very much a session beer. I have yet to be disappointed by Pike.
