COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Medium-to full-bodied with a deep copper color and nutty malt flavor. Well-balanced by an assertive hop character.

Tap. Pours a mostly clear copper body with a foamy off-white head that fell to a wispy film. The nose is pretty light on the hops, less than the Golden Ale that was on tap. Some light caramel malt. The flavor is better though, some light husky caramel malt, finishes a touch grainy, a light lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with some sticky resiny hops on the finish, fine fizzy carbonation. Decent enough, but the aroma hops were a little weak.

Uncertain if this is an amber, or pale based on label, WTF? Review date: 10OCT11 Bottle date: unk says 210B on the label, maybe (July, week 1ish?) A: Pours a hazy dark amber ale with a finger of caramel cream which falls quickly to a broken sheet of the same. Spotty lace is weak. (2.5) S: Smells like caramel malts, sweet. Some earthy hops, and toasted sugar (3.5) T: Oxidized malts, water, an alkaline tone, and some bitterness. Unimpressive. (2) M: Thin (for either style) with moderate carb. Dry finish. (2) O: I am not impressed and not surprised I’ve never seen this on tap anywhere (2) Serving type: bottle 10-10-2011

Deep clear amber. Slight caramel and dry bitter hop flavor. Med bodied throughout. Slightly more malt flavor than the naughty Nellie pale ale.

Pours a pretty hazy copper with a small off white ring around the glass. Aroma is sweet malts/fruity, grassy and floral. Taste is sweet caramel malts, earthy, fruity, and grassy. Decent English pale.

Copor color with more of a nutty taste than hops. The aroma is not significant but overall a pleasant pale ale.

The name is confusing, not so sure what its supposed to be. Aroma is dominated by malt, as is the flavor. Tastes hoppy at first, but that gives way quickly to smooth malts. Not as well balanced as i would hope, but not demanding to drink at all, pretty enjoyable

September 2012. On tap at the brewpub in Seattle. Amber color. Pine and citrus aromas. Earthy and malty flavors. Not bad.

Very easy to drink. Doesn’t look or taste like a regular pale ale. More hoppy than most and still sweet. Okay, but nothing compared to the other brews by this establishment. Fruity notes are evident with a crystal malt pairing

This is a pretty good beer that isn’t really true to style. It is really a cross between a Amber and a Pale and lacks the punch of either style. It has a really nice color but is too malty for an American Pale.
