tap at the brewpub - Pours amber with a lightly hoppy aroma. The balance of hops and malt is pretty good with some mild pine notes from the hops. It’s medium bodied and easy going down. It’s simple and fairly good.

12 oz bottle via Liquid Solutions. Pours a semi hazy amber with a small head. Not muc aroma, perhaps some caramel and mild citrus hops. Flavor is actually pretty good. Some mild orange, grapefruit and molasses, in the reverse order, lol. Average carbonation, nice smooth balanced finish. Good session beer and just what an American pale ale should taste like. Easy drinking, refreshing and flavorful.

Pretty standard pale ale, nothing fancy about this one. Not bad, not great.

Easy to like, hard to love, sort of the way I feel about pale ales in general. Pale amber, almost clear, small head, good lace. Sweet and nutty malts, some floral overtones, not the in your face use of PNW hops I have been getting all week here in Seattle. However, I actually love the piney, grapefruity, orange peel bitterness of the other beers here.

Bottle. <!-- p --> Very few of my local session favorites from my pre-ratebeer days have stood up well to the test of time. I thought that this one - which was my session favorite a few years back - would be no exception, but I’m very pleasantly surprised. Sure, I probably caught it in exactly the right mood, thirsty and ready for an easy-drinking beer, but this is really really nice. <!-- p --> The aroma is caramel and apple and some citric hops, hints of grass as well; the flavor is a nice apple-and-caramel pale ale with a flavor that recalls Fullers ESB for me. The mouthfeel is just dirnk for drinking, full enoguh not to feel watery at all, easy for the drinking, not overcarbonated in the least. This has been a pleasant surprise.

Clear dark orange with offwhite average head. Strong malt, resin, sweet citrus and medicine like aroma.. Full flavored with balance s&b and an ash tasting finish.
