| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2006 Full of big bubbles of carbonation, nice amber color, and white minimal head. Smells of grapefruit rind and citrus. Nice malt and hops combonation with neither one overpowering teh other. Finishes off with a sweet malt punch followed by a bitter hop hit. Not as hoppy as many pacific northwest pale ale’s and more malty. IndianaRed (1555), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 4, 2006 Bottle pours a hazy dark copper color witha modest but lasting of white head. Lacing is sturdy and thick. Pleasant malty and hops aroma with some spices. Flavors are a mild hoppy, soapy flavor. Slightly bitter and not with the nice citrus or floraly copmpanants that PNW pales should have. Medium to thin palate and very soft carbonation. A bit diddapointing. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2006 12-oz. Is this beer not what it used to be? Didn’t Michael Jackson name it one of his ten desert island beers a decade ago? Now it’s just watery...or maybe I’ve changed in the last ten years. Yeasty, bland nose; light, watery attack and palate. Virtually free of finish, other than a mild soapy tang with a puff of bitter across the back of the throat. I used to tell everyone to try this beer. Not I wonder whether I owe them one. bitbucket (2031), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 20, 2006 Draught aboard the MV Kirkland: A clear, coppery amber with a lacy off-white head. The aroma has a bit of citrus and pine. Medium creamy body. The taste is fruit and nuts with some toffee sweetness. The finish is nicely hoppy. jake65 (1698), Williston, North Dakota, USA

Taste is crisp and clean with a smooth maltiness, nuts, caramels, and fresh hops. Very pleasant amd assertove taste. KAggie97 (2427), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 16, 2006 Tap at brewery. Pours cloudy like iced tea. Aroma is tea leaves with Sweet-N-Low. Flavor is malty with a hops finish; very cardboardy. Palate is adequate. Reminds me of the stale smell of an antique shop. krisbierjaeger (844), dolores, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2006 here’s a pretty nice, well-made pale ale, no big bells and whistles-- and where would you put a whistle anyway? amber-orange color straight from the handbook, very clear, and with enough foam to block most solar UV. toasted malts along the lines of baking bread dominate the aroma, while dry hop leafs hoist their modest flag of orange and woody scented pine cones. flavors seem more self-assured and assertive than the aroma-- though that’s like trying to talk over a librarian-- hardly loud. there’s just your standard lightly sweet woody-toasted malts covering for those same orange rind bitters already alluded to. soft carb, medium bodied; a pale of extraordinarily pleasant normal-ness. kimcgolf (828), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 2, 2006 Poured from 12 oz. botle. Hazy copper color with tan head and good lacing. Aroma of malts, nuts and some odd fruit..maybe figs. I found this to be a very fdrinkable beer with a good taste and finish. I’ve always been a pale ale fan, and this one did not disappoint. My daughter brought this to GA for me from Portland, OR. I can only imagine how good a freshly poured draft would be, if I could find one.
