Not outstanding in the least. A filler beer on the sampler. Die from the menu. Please. Just a personal request.

Clear bright amber appearance. Good blend of malt and hops in the aroma. Mild biscuity palate, smooth, lightly spiced hoppiness, mild grapefruit bitterness in the finish.

Bottled. Pours an amber/brownish color. Mildly malty aroma with a hint of sweetness. Flavor is somewhat malty with a little bit of hoppy bitterness. Nice bitter/malty finish.

On tap @ Pike: Looks nearly identical to the Scotch Ale, in fact it tastes nearly like the same brew sans the slight smoky charater and with a few extra hops (not enough for my liking though)

Shimmering copper, creamy off white head. Nose held soft notes of citrus, florals, earth, nutty caramel, and toasted grains. Light floral hop flavors blend with the nutty caramel tones almost perfectly. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry, semi-bitter finish. An easy drinker....

Nice looking pale amber beer.small tight tan head with strong lacing. on the pour: sweet malty and a floral hop to the nose. On taste: Malty and hops (who’d thought!) starts sweet and buttery malt and drys out pretty nicely with some mild citrus and floral hops. This beer has a creamy texture to it. Decent body and goes down nice.

I find spice (cinnamon) as well as apple, pear and other fruitiness in the nose, some earthy (northern brewer?) mint hopping; bready maltiness and well balanced tilted toward bitter; smooth palate, and not your typical PNW pale ale.
