COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Medium-to full-bodied with a deep copper color and nutty malt flavor. Well-balanced by an assertive hop character.

Copor color with more of a nutty taste than hops. The aroma is not significant but overall a pleasant pale ale.

The name is confusing, not so sure what its supposed to be. Aroma is dominated by malt, as is the flavor. Tastes hoppy at first, but that gives way quickly to smooth malts. Not as well balanced as i would hope, but not demanding to drink at all, pretty enjoyable

September 2012. On tap at the brewpub in Seattle. Amber color. Pine and citrus aromas. Earthy and malty flavors. Not bad.

Very easy to drink. Doesnít look or taste like a regular pale ale. More hoppy than most and still sweet. Okay, but nothing compared to the other brews by this establishment. Fruity notes are evident with a crystal malt pairing

This is a pretty good beer that isnít really true to style. It is really a cross between a Amber and a Pale and lacks the punch of either style. It has a really nice color but is too malty for an American Pale.

Orange, slight haze, 1.5 finger head, lacing not bad. Aroma is a middle-ish pungent floral hops and earthy malts, not overpowering, but enjoyable. Taste is a bit bolder, with the earthy aspects really coming out. ITís got a good chunk of crystal malts (I assume from the flavor and body), and some nice bready notes, and perhaps some fruity undertones. Body is fairly easy drinking, medium to light, moderate carbonation, with a fairly dry, pungent earthy finish. Itís a tasty beer, another good one from Pike. Actually, I have liked everything Iíve gotten from Pike brewery so far, this one is no exception. Not sure which is my favorite, but I know Iíll buy Pike again in the future. I also know that thereís at least two more Pike beers available here that I havenít tried yet!

Pours a clear copper with a beige head. Nose of roasted malts and floral hops. Medium body and smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is a well balanced malt and hop mixture with a light bitter finish. Very easy drinking.

Pike Pale Ale has a medium, off-white head, decent lacing left behind, and a bubbly, clear, orange-golden appearance. The aroma is of sweetness, bread, and bread crust. Taste is of the same, with an iced tea note coming through. Bitterness is not high, and the mouthfeel is mostly watery. Pike Pale Ale finishes semi-dry, refreshing, and enjoyable. Overall, this is a really nice one. Another winner from Pike Brewing. RJT
