Nice copper color with a small white head. Taste is crisp and clean with a smooth maltiness, nuts, caramels, and fresh hops. Very pleasant amd assertove taste.

Draught aboard the MV Kirkland: A clear, coppery amber with a lacy off-white head. The aroma has a bit of citrus and pine. Medium creamy body. The taste is fruit and nuts with some toffee sweetness. The finish is nicely hoppy.

Apple spice, hoppy aroma, unique and exciting. Transparent copper body with a white head. Fruity malt start to the taste, with a sweetness that carries through over the mild hop bitterness that balances out the taste.

I find spice (cinnamon) as well as apple, pear and other fruitiness in the nose, some earthy (northern brewer?) mint hopping; bready maltiness and well balanced tilted toward bitter; smooth palate, and not your typical PNW pale ale.

12-oz. Is this beer not what it used to be? Didn’t Michael Jackson name it one of his ten desert island beers a decade ago? Now it’s just watery...or maybe I’ve changed in the last ten years. Yeasty, bland nose; light, watery attack and palate. Virtually free of finish, other than a mild soapy tang with a puff of bitter across the back of the throat. I used to tell everyone to try this beer. Not I wonder whether I owe them one.
