I like an American pale Ale and this was a good example of one. This would be a good session brew for me.

Draught sampler at the brewpub. Golden-copper colour. Nice aroma, good balance of toasty malt and fruity hops. Medium body. Flavour is fresh and well-balanced. Simple, but nice, especially fresh at the pub - in bottles, I expect it might be disappointing.

An enjoyable pale. Citus hop aroma, rhubarb. Pours a cloudy orange, nice head. Earthy malts, pleasant hop finish.

NABA BeerFest 03: A very nice pale ale, better than most at the fest. This was my final beer at the fest, so memory kinda blurry and notepad is just full of scribbles at that point. I believe it was very good with a nice amount of hops and full body to back it up, could almost be an ipa, but not quite.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2010 Bottle: Pours a lightly hazed amber-gold with a off-white frothy cap that lasts and laces well. Aroma is perfumey-floral-grapefriut with soft caramel tones Chewy resinous hops in the front and in the middle with a substantial toasty-caramel malt undertone. Finish is bitter with a citrus flush. Really well articulated west coast pale.

Draught aboard the MV Kirkland: A clear, coppery amber with a lacy off-white head. The aroma has a bit of citrus and pine. Medium creamy body. The taste is fruit and nuts with some toffee sweetness. The finish is nicely hoppy.
