COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Post Alley Porter is named for Seattle’s historic brick paved alley. This thoroughfare used to see wagon loads of fish pushed up its steep incline from the waterfront to the Pike Place Market. Today it is a charming and old world style pedestrian thoroughfare and also the main entrance to our brewery.

Black color with tan head. Dark roast, chocolate, pale malt aromas. Smooth medium body. Medium roast malt flavors with dry chocolate, and a mild ashy, tobacco astringencey--almost good

Contains what I’m looking for in this style. Moderate roastiness, lots of caramel, coffee, some chocolate. Not too viscous. Not one to blow the drinker away, but gosh darn I love a well made porter.

Malt forward aroma, caramel, and dark fruit . Pours black with a aggressive, mostly diminishing tan head and minor lacing. Taste is malt, coffee, caramel, hints of chocolate and a nice hoppy bitterness at the end. Medium-full bodied with mild carbonation. Smooth. Overall, I found this to be a very smooth and enjoyable porter.

Bottle: Dark brown with a finger of tan head. Mild roast in the nose, followed by bittersweet cocoa and a little earthy. Tastes of roasted malt, earthy, and faint coffee. Medium to bordering on mild in the intensity dept. Ok.
