Bottle at tderoeck's place. Light sour, yeasty, light hops, fair enough, koryander which makes me dislike.

Appearance: cloudy pale amber with two fingers of rocky white head, excellent retention and good lacing. (4/5) Aroma: dry yeasty citrus, floral, grainy malt, grassy, white pepper. (7/10) Taste: low sweet, moderately strong bitter. (7/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, moderate duration slightly funky finish. (3/5) Nice somewhat hoppy farmhouse-style saison - very Franco-Belgian in style, with a dry citrus/floral yeast flavour reminiscent of Dupont or De Ranke. The low sweetness allows the funky hoppy bitter to shine through, making it seem like more than the 55 IBU the bottle claims. Much better than their IPA. (15/20)

650ml brown bottle. Yellow colour, haze. Pillowy white cap. Aromas of grass yeast, spice and bread. Taste - sweet bready malt, citrus, grass, spice. Lingering hops and yeast in the aftertaste. Lots of bitterness. Good mouthfeel. Quite impressed with this beer.

I really enjoyed this brew. Pours a glowing coppery orange with a thick, fizzy yellowish head. The aroma is complex, spicy and hopped up with citrus throughout. Beautiful sweet toasted malts, saison yeast is impeccable with a heavy bitterness to balance out well. Light black pepper, coriander and grassy notes. Yum

650ml bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a huge white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is lemon and yeast with some hints of banana and spice. Taste is a light fruity and malty sweetness with a lemon tartness and a dry yeasty finish. Light to medium bodied with abundant carbonation that pleases the palate. Overall, this is a well made brew that seems to be nicely balanced and flavorful. Recommended.

On tap at the brewery. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, bananas, light fruit, light floral notes, and pale malts. Flavor the same. Average texture. The hops and saison didnít blend well, plus the yeast added weird flavors.

Tap at the brewery with commomshawn and rosskyle. Slight haze and a full finger white head. Golden orange color. Pleasant and refreshing aroma.. citrus and spices. Taste has more bitterness than anticipated. Floral and hoppy. If they could smooth out the aftertaste, they would have a pretty awesome beer. As it stands, Iím getting citrus at the start but losing it in a wave of bitter, resin notes.

Tap at brewery in pint glass with commonmac and rosskyle. Hazy pale gold with bubbly white head. Holds head well. Nice aroma of spice and sweet . Really good nose. Drying slight hop, some floral and finish is grainy hop. Thought there would be more spice and sweetness. A bit of yeast exists. After a while the spice and pepper shows up.

Pours a huge foamy head on a clear light straw body. The aroma is honey, wildflowers and a little mint. Nice The taste is honey sweet, an odd bitterness and hay. The texture is soft. It has a weird flavor finish, but itís fine.

22oz bottle poured into St. Augustine chalice. I think this was bottled about 6 months ago. I only got this beer because I am ticking Pike (and I sort of, kind of, mmmmm, like Pike). I have been putting off drinking it because of the uninspired (and sweet) Tripel. The beer pours a dark golden color, completely clear through out (read: filtered). Aroma surprises me by NOT being overly estery or sweet. WOoooo!!!! Aroma is bitter, dough, faint sweetness, grainy character, a little candi crust. Flavor has no bubblegum or banana. Lots of good bitterness and herbalness in the flavor. Not sweet but strong bitterness and thick bread malt. A little light lemony character at the end of the flavor. Really surprising and I like it.
