3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Pours a hazy golden body with a small frothy off-white head, a bit of lacing remained. The nose is a touch buttery with some light piney hops and some light caramel malt. No butter on the flavor though. Just bitter citrusy hops over a dry biscuity malt base. A light touch of alcohol. Pretty well done Pale IPA. Light to medium bodied, dry finish, with fizzy carbonation. Nice lengthy bitter finish. Pretty nice effort, is this the new IPA style?

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bomber pours with a clear copper body that supports a nice looking bright white head. The aroma offers up some mango, resiny pine and faint sweet citrus like gummy bear candy flowing into a bit of caramel to an almost buttery diacetyl note. The taste begins with a pleasing hop bitterness from pine and grapefruit like hops and some mango like fruitiness in the background. There is a mild caramel malt note that distracts a bit from the experience. Overall this is pretty good and it has a firm degree of hop resiny bitterness that is working pretty well with the sweeter juicy hop flavor notes.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dry hay and slight salty air aromas. Slightly hazy gold tangerine withe a white fluffy head. The dry hay comes through in the taste along with a wild yeastiness that makes this like a high powered Saison. Light tangy lemon notes followed by dry grassy and citrus peel bitterness. Ends on a slightly sweet note with lasting dry bitterness. Really nice and unique ale. Happy anniversary Pike!

Extra in trade with Patrick... Thanks man! Clear golden pour with a massive white head. Aroma bready and citrusy hops. Taste is nice and light... Orange, grapefruit, very mild malt backbone. Solid easy drinking IPA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a small head and good lacing. Aroma is somewhat doughy, not typical of an IPA. Taste has undertones of floral and grass, mainly heavy on the malt. Short bitter finish. Not too impressed with this one.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bottle. Hazy, cloudy, golden color. Aroma of PNW hops, green hops, loads of grapefruit zest. Sharp hops taste, grapefruit bitterness, no sweetness, very dry. Over carbonated, over fermented, maybe is why it’s so dry. (3916)

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a slightly hazy amber with a very thick and rather persistent fluffy eggshell head that pillows nicely. Aroma is more fruity than hoppy - largely apple and pear, but with an underpinning of Mandarin orange. Hoppy flavor has a nice fruity undertone, and here the citrus dominates the pomme. Texture is firm, smooth and fairly fizzy, leaving a nice hoppy finish.
Not to be confused with Space Needle 2012 Anniversary Vintage IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Slightly cloudy blood orange hue under a pithy white head that slowly fades into a solid blanket with lots of lace marking the sides of my glass.
Lots of grapefruit – white, pink, red – zesty and sweet and just a little tart. Mint and pine in the back and along the edges.
One sip and an ocean of grapefruit and pine washes across my tastebuds and down my throat. The finish lingers with bitter grapefruit peel and pith. Oak and cedar notes in the front – rustic and spiced. Honeyed grains underneath.
Not exactly a complex IPA but intense, rich, and very balanced which made for a very pleasant quaffing session. Hopefully Pike will brew this beer again because it deserves to be at least a regular seasonal offering. Delicious.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to glass. Pours a murky orangish-amber color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is spicy fruity citrusy hops with a mild fruity sweetness. Flavor is a nice fleshy fruit hops with a mild citrus and malty sweetness. Light to medium in body with an oily character. Lingering fruity bitterness in the finish. Solid, but nothing extraordinary.
