From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. 2013 vintage. Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head. pine aroma. Flavors of spruce, some citrus peel. Moderately bitter finish.

Rich amber coloured body with a bright copper glow and a nice thick three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of light hops, alcohol, metal and a hint of pine. Medium-bodied; Sharp pungent hop flavour of grapefruit and pine with a bit of malt, some light sugars and some mild metallic notes. Aftertaste shows a good balance of malt and hops with a bit of pungent floral and resinous hop notes and a good sweetness. Overall, a good beer that’s well balanced and nice to try! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Brown Jug in Anchorage (Northern Lights Blvd), Alaska on 22-May-2013 for US$9.99 sampled in my hotel room here in Anchorage, Alaska on 25-May-2013.

22oz bottle. Large white head atop cloudy apple cider body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, spicy, light orange peel. Taste is medium sweet, orange, some grapefruit, light lemon, bread, spicy. Soft light-medium body, very drinkable.

Bottle shared at PUB’R HQ. Poured hazy straw colored with off-white head. Nose was hopcitrus, pae malt, mild spice and florals. Tasted medium in palate heft and complexity, with florals and funk matched by hopcitrus. This one reminded me of a Flower Power Junior.

Golden pour with a white head. Nose is grassy with some orange and grapefruit hops. A bit sweet and malty with some bread and caramel notes. The flavor is also fairly sweet, sort of surprising for a modest ABV beer like this. Grapefruit, orange, and some light floral notes. Grass, a touch of pine, bitter finish, and sweet bread and caramel malts.

Bottle. Explodes from the bottle 75% foam, slowly settling into a hazy, pale yellow beer. The aroma includes some spring-cut grass and light lemony citrus. This drinks with a definite spicy front, like an arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette. Light on its toes. (#4993, 4/21/2013)

Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours cloudy golden with an attractive beige head and a floral citrus aroma, There is a delicate pale malt flavor that is a bit fruity with a dry bitter finish. Well-crafted.

Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of roasted grain, moderate to heavy grapefruit juice for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with sour apple, ginger and a hint of solvent. Head is small to average size, frothy, white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky pale amber/orange. Flavor starts lightly sweet, moderately acidic and a bit acetic, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a lively carbonation and a lightly astringent, alcoholic and dry finish. A bit tart in the flavor and the caramel aroma associated with a DIPA isn’t there, but the hops are perfect.
