Small, light brown head that quickly fades over a hazy brown body. Okay lacing. Aroma is sweet with notes of bread, raisin, honey, donut and dark fruits. Taste is sweet malt, some cinnamon, and a donut flavor. Not very interesting. Watery mouthfeel and light carbonation. Would pass on it next time...

Complete garbage. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a small light canvas head. Nose is malt extract, fresh ground malt, and spring water. Taste is the exact same. Not complex at all, just malt syrup maybe some toffee and more watery beer crap. Unacceptable it tastes like Mr. Beer.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light brown head. Sweetness, caramel and some fruits in the aroma. Flavavour is quite herbal and sweet. Light spiced and caramel. Medium bodied. Spiced and light bitter end.

Nice dark brown looking beer. Not as bitter as I was hoping. It leaned more towards malty flavors. Anyways, I wouldn’t expect a whole lot from this beer. There was a nice palate. It is very rich and smooth, but as far the flavor(s) are concerned they are not as good as I was expecting. I had the Stout first which was amazing, but after having this I was upset about the underuse of hops. It could have been hoppier.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Clear reddish brown with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of overripe fruit and burned caramel. Quite full-bodied with sweetish burned caramel and again notes of overripe fruit. Spicy bitterness in the finish. 291208

Bottle at Madsberg 2008 Tasting. Pours deep red with a small, creamy, off-white, film head. Aroma has fine caramel, lots of hops. Medium carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is rather sweet, lots of caramel and sugar. Fair amount of bitterness in the finish, but it should have been less sweet and cloying.
