Commercial Description:
A Northwest approach to a brown ale: round, hearty, and brisk with dark malt flavors and a bit of smokiness in the finish. Deep & comtemplative. Formerly known as Imperial Bootleg Brown.

Dark amber colour. Hazy. Fairly chocolatey, lightly toasty aroma. Full flavour with rich toast and chocolate in the complex malty body. Slight bitterness underpins it perfectly. Big body. Unique, very flavourful, a pint to come back to more than once.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye: Pours a transparent deep copper ruby with a thin ring of dark tan head. Aroma has a touch of mild citrusy hops and some toasty pale malty notes. Body starts fairly full and sweet with some earthy caramel malty flavor and bittersweetness with some lingering English piny hops and grain. An interesting and fairly well-balanced beer.
