Oakes (6977), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 11, 2006 Dark amber colour. Hazy. Fairly chocolatey, lightly toasty aroma. Full flavour with rich toast and chocolate in the complex malty body. Slight bitterness underpins it perfectly. Big body. Unique, very flavourful, a pint to come back to more than once. argo0 (6230), Washington DC, USA Oct 4, 2007 (22oz bottle) Small beige head atop hazy cola brown body. Comments: A surprisingly drinkable offering for its gravity. CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 18, 2007 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye: Pours a transparent deep copper ruby with a thin ring of dark tan head. Aroma has a touch of mild citrusy hops and some toasty pale malty notes. Body starts fairly full and sweet with some earthy caramel malty flavor and bittersweetness with some lingering English piny hops and grain. An interesting and fairly well-balanced beer.
