Dark brown in colour, thin white coloured head, very light lacing. The aroma was of gingerbread, light alcohol, caramel, piney hops. The flavour is a bit hoppy, some caramel malt sweetness, raisins and alcohol. Lightly hoppy mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes bitter, mildly sweet. A bit hoppy, very light roast but quite boring.

Draft at the brewpub. Brown sugar in the aroma, some blueberry, bubblegum and faint, leafy tobacco as well. Clear light-medium brown color, head is fine and subsiding. Flavor is mostly sweet and malty, indeed like a "Double Brown" in a way but lacking largely in bitterness as the sweet brown malt dominates utterly. Some cocoa, caramel and toffee, more leafy tobacco notes, faintly roasty with a touch of hazelnut towards the finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and low in effervescence, body is medium-full. 7.5% and certainly feels it. Finish is long and sees a bit of fruitiness creep in late. Interesting stuff, in its way.

Poured like a light porter. Taste of sweet fruitiness with a mild smoky finish. Belgium abbey brown style with NW hops and yeast. Palpable fresh and original mouth feel and flavor. varies from batch to batch.

Draught. Pours a dark amber with a lacy off-white head. Flowery/malty nose. Taste is nutty, with malty molasses and a big presence from the hops.

The smell is malts, fruitys, some roastiness, and caramel. The look is brownish with an ok biege head. The taste is roasty, toffee, fruits, sort of sweet. Sort of a weird beer could not figure what it has trying to be. Weak and flavors did not compliment each other.
