| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 13, 2008 yeasty coffee aroma, muddy sludgy appearance. not much of a head, save for a thin veil until i agitated the yeast on the bottom and then the complete creamy goodness comes out. called an approach to a brown, but tastes like an abbey dubbel. swirl between sweet malt, sour base, and dusty yeast with the molasses sweetness peaking in the finish before finally yielding to a soft leafy alpha hop bitterness. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Pours with little to no head. However, the aromas make up for it: roasted malts smell clean and pure. Same with the body, which has a nice character. Smooth palate and quaffable. BeerNeedy (63), Anchorage, Alaska, USA
