This draft brew from the Oregon Brewers festival poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a semi-opaque dark red brown colored body. The mild aroma was malty and sweet. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of malt mild hops sweet brown malt and mild nut. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Draft at Pike, Seattle, WA. Tan head that was mostly lasting with very nice lacing, cloudy, no carbonation was observed, and a brown orange hue. Nose was smoke notes, some roastiness, sweet, malty, and fruity. Flavor was sweet, semi-rich, roasty, smokey, and raisins. ABV was noticeable, but tame. Mouthfeel was smooth. Medium body. Not big and bold for the style which was rather unusual. Worth a try.

A nice filling beer, with a hefty kick. Lots of complexity in the taste, with chocolate and tobacco in the background.

On tap at the Pike Brewery in Seattle. Pours a cola color with a thin off whit ehead. Aroma was dark fruit, some spice, a bit of clove, and some deep sweet malt character. Flavor was similar, but a bit watery and somewhat weak compared to what the aroma was promising.

Pours dark brown with fraothy tan head. Aroma is nutty and molases. Flavor rather plain, sweet caramel, but of alcohol undertone, but not much character. Nice attempt.
